Advanced Security's parent company TPT Group Holdings is governed by three directors all based locally in New Zealand.
The Group is committed to sound corporate governance that will ensure the company operates as efficiently as possible while providing the appropriate level of accountability and transparency. The Board guides strategic direction and context and focuses on issues critical for the businesses successful execution.
The Board delegates management of the day-to-day affairs of the company to the Executive Team under the leadership of the Group Chief Executive Officer to deliver the strategic direction and goals determined by the Board.
Mike Marr - Managing Director & Group CEO
Mike is the founder and owner of TPT Group and holds Executive Director roles within the Group and independent director roles outside. He holds qualifications in electrical trade, electrotechnology, an Advanced Dip.Business, Dip.Management, Dip.Integrated Risk Management and a Dip.Project Management. In 2017 he was one of two Global recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion of Entrepreneurship (the first recipient to be awarded the honour outside of the USA) while in 2014 he was a finalist in the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for NZ. He was also recognised by Entrepreneur’s Organisation in 2011 with the ‘Mark A Mark’ award. Mike is a Board Member of several New Zealand Not For Profit organisations including being the Chairman of The Runway Foundation and is the CEO of TPT Group Holdings NZ.
Graeme Hansen - Independent Chair
Graeme was the Managing Director of Barclays Private Banking globally and also held CEO roles for Barclays in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, spanning 13 years. He has been CEO of both the New Zealand Racing Board and Public Trust in New Zealand. In addition to TPT Group company roles, he also chairs other private entrepreneurial firms. His previous governance roles include independent directorships for The Warehouse Group Financial Services, PGGW Finance, the NZ Spinal Trust and Toronto East General Hospital.
Brendan Wood - Independent Director
Brendan is a highly regarded New Zealand commercial lawyer residing in Auckland with Daniel Overton & Goulding. Brendan specialises in acquisitions, commerical law and commericial property. He also holds various Independent Trustee roles as well as Independent Director roles. One of his current roles includes being a Independent Director of listed company Just Water International.

AS devlops deeper IT Capability through acquisition of IT Engine
TPT Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of IT Engine, a Wellington based IT services business.
The IT Engine business dates back to 1997 when it was originally called Quay Corporate, rebranding to IT Engine in 2012. IT Engine specialises in cloud, backups and recovery, hardware, mobility, and is an award-winning business.
The business has been recognised through multiple awards including 2017 Winner of the Microsoft Midmarket Cloud Solutions, 2016 Finalist – Microsoft Midmarket Cloud and in 2014 Winner of the Microsoft Server Platform and Small Business awards.
Mike Marr, parent company TPT Group CEO, commented that “TPT Group continues to invest in the future innovation space and IT Engine complements our existing IT business and our electronic security business Advanced Security. This acquisition will further increase our market capability and will allow us to further develop our range of new innovative products”.
The IT Engine name will become the nationwide brand for our information technology services business and staff will remain with the business as it is integrated into the group.

Parent company TPT Group acquired electronic security business Nelbay Solutions in July, Auckland based IT company Sentinel Technologies in late 2017, following a string of other acquisitions around New Zealand including Concord Security in 2016, Struthers Electronics & Security in 2014 and Systems.Com in 2010.
With this acquisition the group will have 18 offices across New Zealand.
The Advanced Security business also carries out significant IT services and is New Zealand’s largest dedicated corporate and industrial electronic security provider, with many high-profile corporate and government clients.
